Sexist Fat Man from Omaha screams "bald IS beautiful", Dennis Rodman running from the BULLS?? Live from Lakewood Church

This week I keep having people give me a compliment on my barber, which is my, duh I am cheap. Well, about two months ago, I was challenged to "bic" my head and go completely bald, well as most of you don't know, DON'T CHALLENGE ME, cause it will back fire on you. So, for the last two months, I have been bald, and this week customers have been sharing how good I like, well today one of my guest gave me this newspaper article titled, "Bald is Beautiful". So, for all of my people, friends, and family all around, yes I am bald, and yes I am still beautiful, and yes I still know it, especially with my girl friend telling me that, while rubbing my smooth BALD head.

I just have to ask did anyone see the Dennis Rodman news blurb on him in "running of the bulls in Pamplona Spain," I want to do it, but all I would do is watch from high above, my luck a bull would break through the barricades and shove his horn up my ass, and I don't need any thing like that.

So, I left my friends house in Sugarland Texas, and headed for the "old Compaq center", I got parked and called my dad by 615 pm Saturday night for the 7pm service. I parked across the street, only cause I did not want to park in the 9,000 stall underground parking garage, that would freak me out.
I walked 5 blocks and was greeted by a army of people literally excited to see me, amongst the other thousands of people. I jumped on the escalator with my worship guide in hand, and already found myself being ushered to the other side of the arena bowl. I went up into the arena and was already breathless at the beauty they created into a "Texas size sanctuary", well I decided I was not going to sit behind the stage in the nosebleed section staring at light racks, so I walked back to the other side of the bowl, stopped at the usher and pulled out my press pass and told them, "I don't want to sit in the pressbox seating area, its just 1 person, I surely can find a single seat," and immediately did by this wonderful, and happy usher. It was 7pm and the crowd started to stand to their feet, clap and roar as a team of security escorted the Osteen family to their front row seats.
All the lights in the house went pitch black and you saw these 8 white lights start to rise slowly from the back of the stage/orchestra pit tossing, turning and twirling like at a concert. The orchestra pit was rising on hydraulics upward to the level of the rest of the main stage. The whole stage was completely filled with smoke, and all of sudden the announcer said in a very deep voice, "live from the Compaq center Lakewood church, welcome to your new home", and then 16 other laser lights started going crazy, with all of the smoke and lights, the place went nuts and that is how they started worship, for a minute, I thought "oh my gosh I am back at Fellowship, it was completely a FellowshipChurch.com service opener.

At that time I was brought to tears many times over, my mom got us watching Lakewood, before Joel Osteen took over in 99. The one thing I love about Joel is, he's so humble, and he let everybody know that, he said, " moving from our 8,000 seat sanctuary in NE Houston to our new 16,000 seat Texas size sanctuary home was and is a complete God thing" and he said, "I don't want and I don't deserve any credit, it was God working thru me. It's not about me or my family its about God who answers prayer." We sang about 4 praise songs, watched a couple videos, "greetings and congratulations from leaders around the world," a short 15 minute message by the governor of Texas Rick Perry and then a drama, a song by his 7 year old daughter, and another 15 minute message by Joel and then it was over.
It is awesome to think a city in the U.S. chose to give the "old Compaq center" to a church, (that the city of Houston will not profit from), then to another sports team like everybody else wanted the city council to do.

Hmmmmmmm. I don't know if I can agree with your title to the entry. I am not a fan of a bic head. Shaved is one thing, but bald, totally different. As for the church experience, it sounds like quite a fiasco. Of course you loved every minute of it, because that is you. I am glad that you were impressed. S
