Election week is a wrap...

and thank God for that. After we have had a solid 2months of a earth shattering fallouts in the financial system, this week was stressful, but am glad the "better man got in."

I think Tuesday November 4, 2008 will go down for me as one of the most memorial, and a proud member of a living group of radical thinkers, who decided to stop the influence of republicans ruling our society and government officials with the attempt to influence with money.

I decided at the last minute we would go down there, it was electricifing, the whole 5 mile stretch of downtown was packed with millions of people in the streets, jumping around in excitement that our next president is from Chicago and change is in order. Didn't get home till 2am, up at 3am to go to work at Starbucks Sears Tower.
Wednesday was the day the country began to feel the winds of change coming soon. Security around downtown was highly beefed up, the night was ushered in with sky rise buildings spelling out OBAMA with their window blinds, the banners were already getting hung Wednesday morning when I was going to work at 4am.
The week flew by with always a slight gasp of breath filled with the rest of my lung capacity could only hold-of excitement. I witnessed people even on Friday were stilling chanting O B A M A in different neighbor hoods, people were still high fiving people on the streets, like after a cubs game, this city is so proud and proved it, with 2 million who showed for OBAMA's acceptance speech. People were crying, because we can say we witnessed history in the making, our first African American president and I'm proud to be living in Chicago, a city none like any other.
