Asian Invasion 2 the Windy City

Well, how would I possibly explain this vacation, in comparsion to the last time Shane came to visit me, but it was in Dallas, lets go back shall we.

Summer of 2007, I was getting ready to make my big move that next spring, I was finally getting out of depression and of course the doctors had me heavily medicated. My close tight knit family of friends all got in a huge fight of course in the car, continued into the restaurant, outside (cause we got kicked out), and down thru the streets of downtown Dallas, and Shane witnessed it first hand. When we are all together and been drinking (can we say, where is a MTV camera crew when you want one) we have major drama. We had a few fist fights, pushing, slapping, lots of tears, punching, name calling, drunken peeps thinking they can run home, 30 miles away no less. Shane met my very unique and diverse group of friends and mixed really well with them, and who can forget all the wardrobe changes. In just one day, we had 4 wardrobe changes, that's a lot of clothes to be hauling around in your trunk, no less with my dog in the backseat.

However, on this new excursion to the Windy City in August of 08, oh how the winds bring change. Let me get out the only negative comment first, Shane prefers FellowshipChurch.com over Willow, oh well you cant win them all.
This time he didn't have to help paint my apartment or help me put away my apt after getting back from IKEA and buying over $2,000 of stuff for my apt. Last but not least, we wern't on a agenda, well kinda, but not like my normal, "were behind in our schedule-screw it."
This vacation required only 2 wardrobe changes in one day. One of my bestee had her birthday early in August and we had a huge 2 day party for her, which they got along really well. We had a beach birthday bbq bash at the lake, in which our friend Geoffrey Carlson came and hung out. This time we had no car to tool us around, so lots of riding the trains, buses, a rental car, went to Oprah's fav pizza place for drinks when he got in, tour around the neighborhood and many pictures to be taken and lots of margaritas, it does get hot in Chicago!

I think I drove my personal assistant crazy the last two days before he came, one day alone on Wednesday we had scheduled for both dogs and both of our apts, a cleaning company to come in 2 both of our places, both dogs to the groomers, both apts got sprayed for bugs, and both of us worked that day. I was glad to be able to take 5 days off, I had worked 48 days straight with no day off. So yes, that is why I hired a p.a. im that damn busy. It sucks.
