Where do I begin, I love Chicago, and my life here is just about as happy as I could wish for. Spring is definetly here, the tulips are in bloom, my 35th birthday is around the corner and well I just about came too close to death this past weekend, that is a little freaky.
Starbucks is going really good, my district manager of the loop had lunch with my store manager and I. It was a unofficial interview and "let me know why you are here in Chicago, working for Starbucks and where do you see yourself in 5 years". One thing is forsure I wont be living here in the U.S. that is forsure.
We celebrated with 5 other people, David Kellys little brother getting his ankle braclet off and so we went to my first Chicago Cubs game. We started partying at 10am on Friday April 17th. We started tailgating around noon outside of Wrigley Field and then ended at my place.
Willow Creek Community Church is probaly one of my best choices in getting involved with a mega church. I'm really enjoying the realness I am getting to know with my senior pastor Bill Hybels. This past week of Wednesday thru Friday my dad and sisters came to celebrate my birthday. Dad and I went to new community at the Creek, we both enjoyed it very much. We took a river boat cruise as a present for dads birthday which was April 23, and my sisters and I all stayed together at my place for the first time.
My best friend Matthew Smith gets in Thursday May 1st and leaves Saturday night, we will be going to the 2nd annual Looptopia. The next weekend after that my girl Sammy will be getting in for the weekend.
This past weekend we had a couple close calls, my sisters and I escaped the Chinatown/Cermak trainstation that a semi crashed into Friday afternoon at 520pm. Saturday morning this lady and I were getting ready to cross the street, I waited, she didnt and she got splatted by a city truck. A little too close for comfort.
