State of my life in 2006 address.

Yes, the presidents speech was kind of funny, but somewhat unrealistic. I however will me giving my own speech, and it goes something like this. This year the word I am going to be really trying to instill in my life, my families and my friends will be-RESPECT.

Why is it so hard for people to not respect people's wishes, why do people continue to push other people's buttons. They push, test your patience and don't give a crap about your opinion. I this year will be trying to lead by example and respect you and myself. This is going to be my year. I am not messing around any longer. If I lose everything, than I will just have to rely on God, because right now, that is all I have. The so called friends that I thought I had are gone, my life is empty, I choose not to go out, but to remain inward. My depression has left me numb to this earth. God is slowly showing me that He is all I need. Any other extra bonuses, or asset's is a gift, and for right now, I am ok with that. Friends have left me high and dry. Omaha friends that I thought would come and visit, have not. Ones I am waiting for, I will not continue to hold my breath. Im starting 2006 with a clean slate to my life. I am not begging for anybody's friendship. I don't expect contact to continue however I wish it would, but at least the thought that I am still alive, and somewhat healthy is still ok. I will be waiting with open arms to my friends to acknowledge that is what we are. Otherwise my life will continue somewhat saddened that I can not give into a relationship any longer, I have finally realized that the most important relationship I have over looked for many years, and the one I cant wait to daily meet is with my creator- the one true relationship that will last, make me happy, continue to restore my faith, and promise me hope.
No, I am not upset with anybody, asking for cards, emails, flowers, or any pity party, Im just going on with my life, now more aware that a sleepy giant has been finally awoke, and breathing a great sigh of relief that will only benefit me and the people who choose to be around me. That sleepy giant has been me.

Good News for the DALKE'S

Just wanted to share the good news, that I have been passed on. Prayers still need to be flowing in the Dalke direction!!!

Hello Friends,
I wanted to keep you updated with the happenings of Kevin & Jen. First of all, I can't remember my last note to you so some of this might be a repeat... Secondly, thank you for your prayers these last few months have been tough for all of us but the Dalke's are doing great. So many people have been so generous and helpful. The town of Lewis held a fund-raiser supper and many people from the community came out for that. It's was wonderful to see all the support from friends and strangers. Many people have given to their relief fund set up at the local bank. And many, many car loads of donations have been appreciated.
They moved into a big ranch style house December 1st. The insurance will pay rent for up to a year. The house belongs to friends from church. It's been a nice vacation for the Kev & Jen not to spend every free moment working on the house. The girls are doing great. They still have some fears but that is so normal. Everyday in December was like Christmas in their house with all the gifts. The girls were definitely spoiled. Things have settled down in January. They want to find some normality in this chaotic time.
They have settled with the insurance over the house and now are working on itemizing their belongings... which will take them awhile. They have purchased a house and have contracted it to move it to their land. This house is another "fix it up"er but they are trying to be smarter and wiser the second time around. I haven't seen the new house yet. Hopefully, this weekend as Dalia (their youngest) turns 5. She is hoping for a kitten... not for sure if it will happen.

Not about me, but you...

The week has come and gone, and boy am I tired. In a nut shell, it goes something like this. Worked Mon, Tues, at FC the past two nights. Helped out at C3 all day and night Wed. & Thur morning. A couch repair man fixed my couches at noon, Karla took me out to lunch at 1pm, jumped in the car for an 7 hour drive to Branson, arrived at my friend JJ's place at 10:15pm, talked with him & the roomies till 1am, all of us up at 7:30. They left to go to college, and I drove another 30 minutes to my dads, and have been on the run all day long.

The C3 was very good, Ed was incredible and the opener of the conference was another show-stopper"Lets Get it Started" by the Black Eyed Peas crazy performance.

It has been a long road, and very hilly, bumpy, and windy way to realize it can't be about me anymore, but you. A great best friend has been trying to get me to understand that when God wants you to focus on Him, He will strip all other idiols, and friendships away. I have been long awaiting the day where I have finally understood that the only true relationship/friendship is with our creator.

The question that I have been asking myself for awhile is from this most recent series, pronouns. "What would you have not done, if they had not influenced you to do, if they had not been around?"(short form) Everybody has friends that influence you, some good, some bad, and some you just don't understand. God has brought me out of my comfort zone from Omaha, through Vegas, to Dallas to throw me on my back, so the angle I can visualize is only towards Him. Dad has been going through the exact same journey with God and me trying to show him that him and his wife need to be at James River Assmbly. They have been thrown around like little rag dolls, until God said, "this is where you belong, not here, not doing this, not involved with these people, but HERE." Is it not really ironic that we both realized our need to believe in the one who knows best, all with in the last 2 months.
Strange, no I dont think so, God-yea I think so.

Maybe Moving???

Debating on a change is always a long, exhaustive, process that always ways on your mind. This one however I might have to do, and my say in the matter more than likely will not count. How is it far to be voted the only person in the mix, that really has no reason to move, but forced because the only likely choice is you?. Trying to figure it if life is fair right now doesn't seem logical, but wondering if I want to start over in a town, that I have already been in might be a unfair answer on me. I moved to DFW for one reason, and that reason is a great opportunity to be involved in a church that is young, vibrant, and souls are going places. I live each day to be involved at FC, and when the weekend comes, I cant wait to see what God has in store for me with one of the best hours of my week. This week is our "Creative Church Conference"- C3 and I will be at the church Monday night, Tuesday night, all day Wednesday, and Thursday, and then off on a little short vacation to Branson to discuss my future with my father. Well, this weekend was a light show worship extravaganza like I have not seen in a long time at FC. The pronouns this weekend were They, you, and we.

What is America coming to???

Thursday, January 19 will always be a cold, chilling reminder of how cruel and insensitive some beings could be that would call themselves human. A lady walked into the women's bathroom next to my old store in the DFW INTL. Airport-terminal C-30. Preparing to use one of the many bathroom stalls, this poor lady discovered a tiny human leg sticking out of the bottom of the toilet bowl. After, 4 days of the whole restroom being closed, many interviewed by the FBI, and a dismantle of the toilet, the suspicions were confirmed. What would posse a women that had a 5 month miscarriage, literally in the toilet, and try to flush a human life down the toilet. What in the hell is going on with America? You have to be kidding me, that this random act of senseless action that this women did, would allow herself to get on a flight and leave DFW airport with part of her missing, and continue on with her life? God have mercy on that women's soul. Please Lord have mercy on that womens soul....

Just need to talk??

We have been going through a really tough time at work with the owners of the restaurant. They want to do and be everything including the owners. It really gets old, considering all they do is bitch and moan, and never thank you for anything at any time. I decided to have a little chat with my two managers at separate occasions. Here is what I found out, they talked, talked, and talked some more. My GM thanked me and said you now what, no one has ever asked me how I am doing, listened, did not interrupt or have a hidden agenda. Not my kids, not my first husband, and certainly not my current boyfriend, thank you randall, you really do care. So then, I thought I would try and reverse the same thing that I just did. I called up my best friend who I trust with any amount of info that I spout to him. After a hour and half, he asked me if I wanted his opinion, shared, cried, told me he loved me, and said, "Randall, keep reaching for the one true relationship that will only satisfy people-randall it is the current one you have with Jesus, everybody else-including me let go of.

Coldplay visits FC

This weekend was really good at church. Ed spoke on the "Pronoun-They", and how you should examine the "theys" in your life. For the good, bad, and why you allow people to influence you in the way you do, and how God can replace the "bad they's" with good ones. The last song of the service was by a very popular group, Coldplay and the song was entitled "Fix You".

Time for me?? Sit in the pit for church??

As God keeps allowing me to wake each morning, I am more drawn to the fact that it is truly a blessing. Being able to live my life, where I do, how I do it, and with the gift of life to keeping sharing it along this journey. I am slowly realizing that you have to take time for you, and continue to take time for God. This week has been a crazy time at work, I have had some real freaks come into my store. I cant wait for this weekend for the playoffs, the football games should be awesome. After a little bit of break from hanging so tight with my friends, I am hoping we will be able to hang this weekend. Last weekend after church, I spent 4 fun filled hours at Ikea, and I am just waiting for tax time, and I will be able to finish decorating my apartment like I want. FC's stage design team again went out of there way for this series. We have a "sit in the pit" section, like you see on the MTV music awards, Vh1 Awards, and the Oscars. Today is my day off, and I am doing the usual. I have begun the process of looking for 2 more new jobs, and it really does suck. I have to wait at least till Feb 1st, and then my girl will hire me on at On the Border, she just needs to know what store she will be sent to. Fellowship church is gearing up for the annual Creative Church Conference, (aka C3). I have and will be volunteering for the 3rd straight year in a row, it is for me a great opportunity to really see the nuts and bolts of how this great church body works. This year, I am also excited because they have changed things up a little with all new speakers, schedule of days and lots more. Since the beginning of the year started, I have been really taking a lot of time for myself, I worked 3 jobs for a whole year, with a couple breaks in between, and it was rough, but I am ready to do it again. ****Family news, Dad is no longer in full retirement mood. He is a financial advisor, backer and part owner of a couple of furniture stores in Branson Missouri. If you are ever in the branson area, you can check them out. The little catchy jingle is my dad's wife singing, and yes you can see my father in the commercial. My sister Victoria my sister in MPLS, bless her heart had a little run in with Skippy, moms, and then my old car, she hit ice, and then comes the pole in the lot, she's is ok, but the car is a little hurt. Debra, Rob, and girls are still in Kenosha and doing good, Rob is in Italy for two weeks. Jim and Becky have moved to Iowa, so if you are reading this. Fellowship Christmas Pictures....New arrivals... a friend needs prayer...

Fellowship Church held 21 Christmas services, and 11 of them at the main Grapevine campus. Here are our some great pictures. Check them out here. I forget to mention one thing, (notice this was the first one out on the market), a brand new 2006 plasma HD Liquid Jumbotron screen. That is what I was passed on. Thousands of souls made life changing decisions for Christ for the very first time. This was the most low key, down to earth Christmas service that I have attended since I have been here. This was pretty much a regular weekend worship service, except for the flying angels and wise men, otherwise those pictures you see, that is a normal FC weekend worship service. I would like to take this time to welcome new arrivals for Steve & Heidi VanVoorst, and Joseph and Jen Carlson on their new little bundles of joy. Bring on the extra diapers. Have fun!!!!

Well, a bunch of my friends from my graduating class got together this past week for a little lunch time gossip session. It was brought to my attention that one of my class mates Kerri Jacobsen is not doing good with her health and she needs lots of prayer along with her family. I personally know what she is going through only because my mom had lots of the same problems, and it really does suck. My heart aches, and my prayers go out to you Kerri. Next time I am in town, we all will have to go out for lunch.

This weekend was the first installment of the new series in which Ed brings definition to something that many of us rarely consider-pronouns. Two New Orleans Couples...State wide burn ban...Pro-noun series

I just want to give a shout out to the 2 New Orleans couples that stopped by the Blue Mesa and are now basking in the warm Mexico sun. These people were an awesome group to wait on, and definitely are having a great time. Oh yea they also have kids in high school and love to go to Amsterdam and admit it. Here is your props, and also good luck to the Dr. I hope you get your practice back soon, since the hurricane wiped you out. Texas and Oklahoma are in State wide burn bans. If anybody needs to be doing some rain dances, start dancing. Texas Celebrates...While Dallas hesitates???

HOOK'EM HORNS!!! CONGRATS TO UT-AUSTIN LONGHORNS for a hard fight, and an awesome win over USC. The place went crazy, people standing on tables, chairs, high-fiving everybody. BW's along with the whole state of Texas went nuts at the end of the game. It is official, Dallas is now on the map and a little scared, but they are ready. Dallas Swat premiered this evening on AE TV. It was very cool, and awesome to see the action so close to home. *****Happy early Birthday to Randall Czech which is leaving for Germany for two fun filled weeks. No more bull... Helping out a friend...

Good evening to all of my friends and family. I hope you had a great start of the new year. Mine has been yet eventful. I have decided that 2006 is going to be my year, to shed some pounds, maybe some friends, and most importantly some stress. I have already begun that process. I have quit two of my jobs, and I am down to just one, which is still at DFW INTL TERMINAL D-31. I have decided that if things are not going the way, I see, then maybe God will have to lead me some other direction. This year I am not putting up with any bull****, if anybody wants to, get ready, cause I will be throwing it right back. So as you view my online calendar of activities, and you don't see my work schedule up, or it has changed in the last 24 hours, it's because it has. My heart was pierced by God poking at it, saying you really need to help out some friends. So I did, you know who you are, and I hope you get my package soon. Love you both. randall

Welcome to a new year, and my new site. I have taken a break, and boy have I needed one. I have spent a lot of time reflecting, thinking, hanging with the parents, and preparing my mind and soul for 2006. This new years eve, was pretty low key, I had to work at My Martini till 11pm, and I then waited for Afif, Nick and Jen to come over and we hung till the wee hours of the morning. Oh yea, I woke up with no hangover, also!!!. Kicking the year off right.

The parents came down on Monday to Thursday, and we had a fun time, hanging out and getting to know each other better. Fellowship Church did the best 5 messages of 2005 in grand fashion. This church just rocks.

Merry Christmas and have a Safe New Year-2006

It has been a long week, and this weekend was filled with excitement. I have been able to hang out with my new family Afif, and a great couple Nick and Jen. We all got to experience two fun filled nights together like no other. The first Christmas service of FC and of course they loved it. Second, we spent Christmas Eve afternoon, and all evening together, laughing, joking, asking questions, running around town, wrapping presents, and getting to know a little of each ones lives growing up. FC put on a total of 21 Christmas services, 11 just at the main Grapevine campus where I go. I was able to see the show 3 times, and I brought a total of 12 friends, for the very first time to Fellowship. I could move right now out of Dallas, and head to my next location, (which is a secret) but I am going to stick around for little bit longer to continue one great ride. CCC goes head to head with Willow Creek

My home church finally lands a new younger Senior Pastor from the biggest mega-giga church in the nation. It is about time, and way way too long over due. Congrats Our Lady of 680!!!! Published ThursdayDecember 22, 2005 Omaha megachurch gets new pastor BY ANGIE BRUNKOW WORLD-HERALD STAFF WRITER A pastor from one of the most prominent megachurches in the country has accepted an invitation to serve as senior pastor at Omaha's Christ Community Church. Mark Ashton, who has served at Chicago's Willow Creek Community Church for the past six years, will take the helm at Christ Community once he wraps up his commitments in Chicago. Christ Community leaders expect he will be in Omaha by this spring, possibly earlier. The hiring brings an end to a round of major leadership changes at Omaha's megachurches. Westside Church, at 156th and West Dodge Road, picked a new senior pastor two years ago. Salem Baptist, near 31st and Lake Streets, picked one this past summer. Christ Community has been without a senior pastor for more than a year. The Rev. Bob Thune, who had been senior pastor for 22 years, announced in July 2004 that he was leaving Christ Community to become senior pastor at Southwest Community Church in Indian Wells, Calif. Ashton, 38, may be a bit of an unusual pick to replace the senior pastor at a church this size because he doesn't have a formal seminary background. The Chicago native graduated from the University of Illinois with bachelor's degrees in economics and marketing and has done some graduate study in apologetics. But his on-the-job experience impressed leaders at Christ Community, a church that draws roughly 3,000 to its weekend worship services and is located along Interstate 680 south of West Dodge Road. "He's a next-generation leader," said Roger Atwood, one of the church elders. "We recognize his commitment to present the church in relevant, helpful ways, which is what Christ Community has been about throughout our history." At Willow Creek, Ashton worked as pastor of spiritual discovery and as the associate evangelism director. As part of the job, he developed and taught "The Biggies" series, a forum that invites nonbelievers and believers alike to ask the big questions. Before that, he served a number of years as a staff member of the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, working with student groups at the University of Illinois and speaking at many Midwest colleges. Ashton, who is married and has four children, has published a number of Bible studies and booklets about Jesus and the evidence for Christianity, including one called "Absolute Truth?" He has earned credentials to serve as a minister in the Christian & Missionary Alliance, the denomination that Christ Community belongs to. Ashton emerged as a strong candidate during the past six weeks. He and his wife, Kelle, visited Omaha last weekend, and Ashton preached at four services before heading back to Chicago. In its search, the church developed a profile for senior pastor. They wanted someone who placed a high value on people and relationships and who would lead the church in interacting with the community and continuing existing partnerships, such as the church effort to support Omaha's public school teachers. The search committee shared the profile with Ashton. "Right away he looked down through it and he said, 'That's me; that's my life,'" said Randy Hager, Christ Community's spokesman. FC Today FC offers a wide range of activities and ministries for all stages of life. FC's "Home Team" ministry, modeled after the popular cell group system, allows newcomers to meet individuals with similar interests and geographic locations, which would not be otherwise possible due to its size. FC operates a bookstore and coffee bar (The Source), which features mainly FC-logo merchandise and Ed Young's sermons and books. One of the unique features of FC's facility is its outdoor baptistry. (FC does not have an indoor baptistry, a common feature in church architecture among churches which practice baptism by immersion; whenever FC does perform a baptism indoors it uses portable jacuzzis on either side of the stage.) Built like an amphitheater, it is located within a lake on the Grapevine campus (the lake serves as a flood control pond for the property). However, it is physically separated from the lake (to keep whatever may be swimming in the lake out), and is heated similar to a jacuzzi. Notwithstanding that Texas weather is notoriously fickle and at times violent, only on a handful of rare instances have scheduled baptisms been cancelled due to inclement weather. Another fountain on the campus (closer to the building) was the initial outdoor baptistry, and is used most often during winter months to allow individuals to more quickly enter the building after being baptized. FC meets four times each weekend at the Grapevine campus: at 5:00 PM and 6:30 PM on Saturday evenings and at 9:30 AM and 11:15 AM on Sunday mornings. The three satellite campuses meet on Sundays only, at 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM at the Plano and Uptown campuses and at 9:30 AM and 11:15 AM at the Alliance Campus. In addition, FC Grapevine hosts a monthly mid-week service, Emergent Service, which meets on the first Wednesday of each month (the satellite locations do not have mid-week services). Special "age appropriate" services are held for preschoolers and children through 5th grade. FC's Christmas and Easter services are among the area's most popular, and in order to accommodate the large crowds nearly a dozen different services are held over a 3-4 day period. In 2004, FC was able to rent the American Airlines Center for its Christmas services due to the NHL lockout which made the facility available; however, for 2005 it reverted to having multiple services at its campuses (11 at the Grapevine campus, five at Plano, three at Alliance, and two at Uptown). In December 2005, Associated Press reported that Fellowship was one of several American megachurches that would not be holding services on Christmas Day, which in 2005 falls on a Sunday. At least one D/FW area talk show host (Mike Gallagher on KRLD) criticized Fellowship's decision not to hold services that day.

Fellowship Church From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Jump to: navigation, search Fellowship Church (FC) is a Christian megachurch located in Grapevine, Texas, part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. FC is purportedly one of the largest and fastest-growing churches in the United States, with an estimated attendance exceeding 20,000. FC's pastor is Ed Young (the son of the equally-famous pastor of Second Baptist Church in Houston), who has pastored the church since shortly after its opening. FC is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. However, since it is part of the "seeker church" movement as well, it does not publicize its ties with the SBC and is not actively involved in SBC affairs. History FC started in 1989 as a mission church of the First Baptist Church of Irving, Texas, and was initially known as "Las Colinas Baptist Church". Approximately 150 members of First Baptist Irving relocated to the new church. FC initially met in a rented facility next to the Irving Arts Center and across from MacArthur High School, both of which would figure in its history. Shortly after its opening, the membership hired Ed Young as its Senior Pastor. Young quickly convinced the church to adopt the "seeker church" style made popular by Bill Hybels and Willow Creek Community Church. One of the church's first actions was to de-emphasize its ties with the Southern Baptist Convention and change its name to "Fellowship of Las Colinas". Another move was to use contemporary music during the services, and to offer services on Saturday evenings. Most notably, FC adopted the concept of "age appropriate" teaching--children 5th grade and under are provided separate services at their level of maturity, and parents are encouraged (but not required) to send their children to those services. (FC purports that several families, after initially being hesitant to return to FC--mainly due to its size and non-traditional approach to church--did so after finding out their children loved the activities.) The strategy proved highly successful, and FC quickly outgrew its original facility. Thus, it moved across the parking lot to the nearby Irving Arts Center. During this time, FC tried the concept of "simultaneous services"--one group would meet at FC's facility while another would meet at the Arts Center. The FC music team would play at one site while Young preached at the other, then midway through the services the teams would switch places. The concept proved unsuccessful and was quickly dropped, but continues in "FC lore" as from time to time Young mentions it in his sermons as an example of how FC is willing to try new ideas in order to reach people. Meanwhile, FC began to look for a suitable site for its permanent facility. FC discovered a 160-acre site on Texas State Highway 121 north of Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, which was being auctioned by the Resolution Trust Corporation. FC submitted a bid and was the successful bidder; however, it had to quickly borrow $1.675 million to make the payment. Approximately two years later, the announcement was made that Grapevine Mills Mall would be built literally across the street from FC. Unsolicited offers came in for portions of the FC property, and eventually FC sold a 23-acre parcel on the north side of the property for the exact amount it had borrowed earlier, thus allowing it to begin construction debt-free. Meanwhile, FC outgrew the Irving Arts Center before its permanent facility was complete. It thus moved across the street to MacArthur High School. (As part of the lease agreement, FC agreed to install an upgraded sound system in MacArthur's auditorium.) In order to maintain the "age-appropriate" services for preschoolers and children, this required an enormous logistical feat each weekend--volunteers would have to unload several trucks early on Saturday morning (the building was unavailable until then), install temporary partitions and furniture in several areas, then after the final Sunday service tear down and reload all the items onto the trucks, and make the school building ready for use on Monday morning. Funny Joke, bad timing...So I think?? Ed+U2=??? Four news station at FC

Well, my friends (not all of them) really don't have all there bulbs screwed in real tightly. I had probably one of the worst jokes played on me this Saturday night. I will not name any names, but two out of the 3 thought it would be funny to play a joke on me. The joke went something like this. They called me and told me one of my friends was in jail, and asked me if I could go bail them out. Of course me being the nice best friend that I am to these two people, I immediately jumped off on one freeway and headed on another to downtown Dallas. Long stupid joke and story later, they called laughing, and they just wanted me to come over really bad to hangout. I had already made plans, and really was not in the mood to be messed with, especially to that extreme. Fellowship never ceases to amaze me, this weekend services were really good, and Tianne Moon did an awesome job taking us through a journey into the GREAT UNKNOWN with the life of Mary, the mother of Jesus. Ed + U2 = Fellowship worship experience is like no other. Derrick Bennot of the student ministries of FC and his band lead worship, and he and Erik Orsen rocked out the crowd with the special before the message "original of Species" by Ed's favorite secular rock band U2. We had all 4 news stations at the last service this weekend taping, and doing a cover story about mega churches not being open on Christmas Day. The church keeps reminding themselves, and others they are doing 21 Christmas services, 11 just at the main campus in Grapevine.

Crowds go crazy to see Bono. The Great Unknown..??

People went nuts to see and hear Bono. He was in the Big O' for two days, and here is another good reason as to why he stayed for the 2nd day, and what we can learn and do is this subject for doing good in our humanity in this journey we call life. Extra security guards hovered outside the boardroom door and museum. "We were thrilled to have Bono there," said Michael Yanney, chairman of Joslyn's board of directors. During Thursday night's concert, Bono foreshadowed the meeting. While soliciting support from the crowd for the ONE Campaign to combat global AIDS and poverty, Bono said he was taking part in a Christmas party Friday in Omaha. Also during the show, he dedicated "Original of the Species" to Susan T. Buffett, the late wife of Warren Buffett. Bono is one of the celebrities who helped launch the ONE Campaign. He also visited Lincoln in 2002 to raise awareness of the African AIDS epidemic. The rock singer was in Omaha in August 2004 to sing at the elder Susan Buffett's funeral. Bono also thanks her in the liner notes of the 2004 CD, "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb." According to the DATA Web site, the board of directors also includes David Lane of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation; Jamie Drummond of DATA; Morton H.
